In this course, you will be learning more about the presidents of the United States, both past and present. We have already learned about who the president is, as well as what he does. You have learned about the process of candidacy and voting. Now, it's your turn to be the teacher. You will be choosing one of the 44 presidents of the United States of America from a hat. Once you know who your president is, you will:
- Research that president using the links provided.
- Fill out the Presidential Fact Sheet about your president.
- Write a one-page essay on that president, introducing him to the rest of the class. You should include all of the facts that you provided on your Presidential Fact Sheet in your essay.
- Include a photo of your president.
The only catch is: YOU CAN'T LIST YOUR PRESIDENT'S NAME! This assignment is called, "NAME THAT PRESIDENT." You will write your essay about that president, without revealing who your president is. Nowhere in your essay should you include your president's first or last name, as well as the last names of his First Lady or children. The very last line of your essay should be, "Name that President." Your classmates will have the opportunity to "Name That President" before you reveal to them who you have written about.
